Outtest vs Unbounce
Unbounce and Outtest both run A/B tests, but they start from different places. Unbounce is where you build landing pages. You design variants in its drag-and-drop editor, host them on Unbounce, and compare them on conversions such as form fills and button clicks. Smart Traffic then uses AI to send each visitor to the variant that suits them.
Outtest doesn't build or host pages. It adds one script to the site you already have, on whichever builder it runs, and its AI agents find the biggest leak in your funnel, write a new version, run it and call the winner on revenue per visitor from your payment tool. It also tests things outside landing pages, like trial length, cancel flows, Meta ad copy and SEO page groups. Unbounce is an established product with a large template library. Outtest is new and has no track record yet.

Pick Unbounce if
- You need to build and host new landing pages for ad campaigns, not only test pages you already have.
- Your goal is leads, and a form submission is the conversion that matters.
- You want marketers to design every variant themselves in a visual editor.
- You want AI to route each visitor to a best-match page (Smart Traffic) instead of picking one winner for everyone.
- You want templates, popups, sticky bars and hosting from the same vendor.
Pick Outtest if
- Your site already runs on Shopify, Webflow, Wix, WordPress or custom code, and you want to test it where it is.
- You sell something and want tests judged on revenue per visitor from Stripe, Shopify, Paddle or similar, not on clicks or signups.
- You want AI agents to decide what to test, write the new version and call the winner, instead of doing each step by hand.
- You want to test beyond landing pages, such as pricing pages, trial length, cancel flows, Meta ad copy or SEO.
- Your testing budget is closer to $29 a month than $149.
The verdict
Pick Unbounce if you need a landing page builder with testing built in, especially for lead generation from paid ads. Pick Outtest if you already have a site and want tests run for you and judged on the money they make. Some teams could use both, with Unbounce for campaign pages and Outtest for the main site and funnel.
Questions people ask
How much does Unbounce cost?+
Unbounce costs $29, $99, $149 or $249 a month for its Starter, Build, Experiment and Optimize plans, or 25% less on yearly billing ($22, $74, $112 and $187 a month). Concierge and Agency plans are custom. Prices checked on unbounce.com on September 28, 2026.
Does every Unbounce plan include A/B testing?+
No. Starter and Build don't include A/B testing. Unlimited A/B testing starts on the Experiment plan at $149 a month ($112 billed yearly), and Smart Traffic needs the Optimize plan.
What is Unbounce Smart Traffic?+
Smart Traffic is Unbounce's AI traffic routing. Instead of picking one winner, it sends each visitor to the landing page variant most likely to convert visitors with similar attributes, such as device, location and browser. It's included on the Optimize plan.
Can Unbounce A/B test my existing website?+
No. Unbounce tests landing pages you build in Unbounce. You can publish those pages to your own domain or WordPress site, but pages built elsewhere, like your Shopify store or main site, aren't part of its tests.
Does Unbounce measure revenue in A/B tests?+
Not out of the box. A conversion in Unbounce is the goal you set on the page, such as a form submission or a button click, and its integrations list doesn't include payment tools like Stripe or Shopify. Outtest, by contrast, judges every test on revenue per visitor from the payment tool.
Is there an Unbounce free trial?+
Yes. Every plan has a 14-day trial with no credit card. The trial is limited to one user, no custom domains and some traffic restrictions.
