What drives the price
Amplitude prices the whole platform on analytics events, and experimentation comes with it. An event is any action you track, like a page view, click, signup or purchase. The other thing that drives cost for testing is how many experiments you want live at once, because each plan caps it.
The plans
- Free, $0 with no card. 2M events a month, unlimited seats and feature flags, 1 active feature experiment and 1 active web experiment, with the visual editor.
- Plus, starts at $0 with a card on file. The first 2M events a month are free, and the price scales with volume up to 70M events. The experiment limit stays at 1 of each type.
- Growth and Enterprise, custom event-based pricing. 2 active feature and 2 active web experiments, with add-ons for unlimited experiments, bandits, holdouts and mutual exclusion. Add-ons are priced as a percentage of your platform plan, and the percentages aren't published.
There's no free trial, because the free plan has no time limit. Startups with under $10M in funding and fewer than 20 employees can get a year of Growth free.
Worked example
A SaaS with 20,000 monthly users. These inputs are made up to show the maths.
- 100 events per user a month is 2M events, which fits the Free plan. You can run one feature test and one web test at a time.
- 150 events per user is 3M events. The chart on Amplitude's pricing page puts the annual Plus plan at $900 a year for 3M events, which is $75 a month.
- 250 events per user is 5M events. The same chart puts that at $2,700 a year, or $225 a month.
In each case you're still capped at one active experiment of each type. Running three landing page and pricing tests at the same time means Growth, which sales quotes.
Costs that aren't on the price list
- Tracking more interactions for experiment metrics adds events to your bill.
- The Stripe source needs amplitude_id or user_id in Stripe metadata, which may mean changes to your billing code.
- Growth and add-on prices need a sales conversation, so budget time for it.
- Amplitude says it's building an integrated roadmap with Statsig, so check what changes at renewal.

Questions people ask
Is Amplitude Experiment free?+
Yes, with limits. The Free plan includes 2M events a month, unlimited feature flags, and 1 active feature experiment plus 1 active web experiment, with no card and no time limit.
How many experiments can I run on Amplitude?+
Free and Plus allow 1 active feature experiment and 1 active web experiment. Growth and Enterprise allow 2 of each, and an add-on lifts the limit.
What statistics does Amplitude Experiment use?+
Sequential testing is the default, with a 95% confidence level and Bonferroni correction. You can switch to a T-test, Bayesian analysis or Thompson sampling, and turn on CUPED.
Does Amplitude Experiment have a visual editor?+
Yes. Web Experimentation has a point-and-click editor for text, images and styles, plus full-page tests across matching URLs. The custom code editor needs Growth or Enterprise.
What happened between Amplitude and Statsig?+
On May 5, 2026 Amplitude announced a strategic partnership under which it took on Statsig's brand, customers and platform, and said it will keep developing Statsig while building a more integrated roadmap. Statsig's original team stayed at OpenAI, which had agreed to acquire Statsig in September 2025.
