- Worked with OpenAI on a model for generating website UI code
What Coframe does
Coframe says it creates and tests variations of your website around the clock. The workflow on its homepage has three steps. It studies your site, audience and goals to find opportunities. It generates copy, code and visuals, and you approve what goes live. Then it deploys the variants, personalizes them by segment and tracks the lift. Its free site scan describes the work as a team of AI agents: a CRO expert, a designer, a developer and a data scientist.
Variants cover three kinds of change. Copy means headlines, calls to action and full-page text. Code means UI components and layouts, backed by a UI code generation model Coframe built with OpenAI. Visuals means on-brand images made to match the variant and segment. A post on SEO keyword alignment describes working target keywords into generated copy, and one case study covers push notification tests for a large company.
How it picks winners
Coframe's own posts put multi-armed bandits at the heart of its approach, rather than classic fixed-split A/B tests. Its write-up on the maths describes Thompson sampling: each variant's conversion rate is modeled as a beta distribution, traffic is re-allocated about once an hour toward likely leaders, and weak variants are dropped and replaced with new AI-generated ones. Another post says it uses experiment-level and global holdouts to measure overall lift.
This suits a site with steady traffic that wants to keep improving without waiting weeks per test. The trade-off is that a bandit answers "which variant should get traffic now" more than "did B beat A at a fixed confidence level", so ask how results are reported if you need the second. In August 2026 Coframe also published work on predicting winners before spending traffic, which it describes as a screening tool, not a replacement for live tests.
Metrics and data
The public write-ups talk about optimizing a goal you choose, such as conversion rate or click-through rate. One case study, for the Shopify brand L-Nutra, optimized for profit per visitor, with Intelligems handling the profit analysis. Another verified membership signups in Amplitude. Coframe lists Adobe, Salesforce, Google, Optimizely, Amplitude and Segment among the tools it works with, and says it can also run on its own. It doesn't list payment tools such as Stripe or Paddle, so if revenue should decide your tests, ask how that data gets in.
Who uses it
Coframe names Replit, Dropbox, Intuit, TUI, StartEngine and L.A.B. Golf among its customers, and publishes case studies for several of them. It raised a $9.3M seed round in October 2024, co-led by Khosla Ventures and NFDG, and in March 2026 acquired Haystacks to speed up what it calls its autonomous growth agent.
Working with Coframe
The homepage calls Coframe a managed AI platform offering expert-managed conversion rate optimization, end to end. Case studies mention weekly syncs, technical troubleshooting and metric alignment. You can get a free site scan straight away, but the route to a paid account runs through a demo, and there's no public price list. The public pages describe approving AI-made variants rather than a hands-on visual editor, and they don't say whether variants run in the browser or on your server. The setup docs sit inside the app, so ask on the demo if either matters to you.
Who it suits
Coframe is a mature AI-led website testing product with real customers and funding behind it. It fits best for teams with meaningful traffic, a budget that suits a sales-led contract, and a wish for a vendor to run the program alongside them.
Pros and cons
What Coframe does well
- AI writes the copy, builds the UI code and makes on-brand images for each variant, so a team without spare designers or developers can still ship tests.
- Nothing goes live without your approval. Coframe says each variant takes one click to approve.
- Keeps generating new variants as weak ones drop out, instead of testing one fixed pair at a time.
- Personalizes by audience segment, not only one winner for everyone.
- An established vendor with SOC 2 Type II and named customers such as Replit, Dropbox and Intuit.
- Case studies describe dedicated support with weekly syncs, so it can run like a managed program.
Where it falls short
- No published pricing. You need a demo to get a number.
- Its public write-ups describe optimizing a goal you set, such as conversion rate or click-through rate. Its site doesn't list integrations with payment tools like Stripe or Paddle.
- Bandit testing moves traffic toward early leaders. That suits ongoing optimization but gives a different kind of answer than a fixed 50/50 test with a set stopping rule.
- Documentation for installing and running it sits inside the app, so you can't check the technical details before talking to sales.
Questions people ask
How much does Coframe cost?+
Coframe doesn't publish prices. You get a quote after a demo, and the site also offers a free CRO report of your site. We checked coframe.com on 28 September 2026 and found no pricing page.
Does Coframe use A/B testing or multi-armed bandits?+
Its own posts describe Thompson sampling, a Bayesian multi-armed bandit that re-allocates traffic toward better variants about once an hour and replaces weak variants with new AI-generated ones. It also uses holdouts to measure overall lift.
Does Coframe change my site without asking?+
No. Coframe says it generates copy, code and visuals and you approve what goes live, with one click per variant.
Can Coframe judge tests on revenue?+
One case study shows a profit-per-visitor program on a Shopify store, with Intelligems doing the profit analysis. Coframe's site doesn't list direct payment integrations, so ask on the demo how revenue data would get in for your stack.
What's the difference between Coframe and Outtest?+
Both use AI to plan, build and run website tests. Coframe is established, sales-led and bandit-based, with enterprise customers and segment personalization. Outtest is new, publishes prices from $29 a month, and judges every test on revenue per visitor from your payment tool with fixed ship rules you can change.
