What you pay for

Statsig bills on metered events, not seats. Flag and config checks are free and unlimited on every plan. These count as events:

  • Exposures, each time the SDK checks whether a user should see an experiment or a flag.
  • Log events, each event your app logs or imports.
  • Ingested metrics, pre-computed metrics loaded from a data warehouse.
  • Custom metrics, built from existing events or metrics.

Session replays have their own allowance and don't count as events.

The plans

  • Developer, $0. 2M events a month, 50,000 session replays, unlimited seats, 1 year of data retention.
  • Pro, $150 a month. 5M events included, then $0.05 per 1,000 events. 100,000 session replays and one project per subscription, plus CUPED, holdouts and bandits.
  • Enterprise, custom. Event or experiment-based contracts, volume discounts, multiple projects, warehouse native deployment and a 99.95% SLA.

The pricing page lists Pro as a monthly charge and doesn't mention an annual option or a trial of Pro.

Worked example

Take a SaaS with 20,000 monthly users. What matters is billable events per user, which depends on how much you log and how many experiments each user hits. These inputs are made up to show the maths.

  • 100 events per user a month is 20,000 x 100 = 2M events. That fits the free Developer plan.
  • 250 events per user is 5M events. Pro at $150 covers it.
  • 400 events per user is 8M events. Pro costs $150, plus 3M extra events at $0.05 per 1,000, which is 3,000 x $0.05 = $150. Total $300 a month.

Each extra experiment adds exposures for every user it checks, so a busier testing program moves you up the scale.

Costs that aren't on the price list

  • Warehouse native analysis is Enterprise only. If you want Statsig to read revenue straight from your own warehouse, you need a sales conversation.
  • Pro covers one project. A second product or brand means a second subscription or Enterprise.
  • Engineering time is the biggest cost for most teams. Each test needs code or visual editor work, event logging, and someone to read the results.
  • Amplitude took over Statsig in May 2026. The prices above were live on September 28, 2026, but check for changes before you renew.

Questions people ask

Is Statsig owned by OpenAI or Amplitude?+

Amplitude, as of May 5, 2026. OpenAI announced it was acquiring Statsig for $1.1B in stock on September 2, 2025. Amplitude then took on Statsig's brand, customers and platform, and the original Statsig team stayed at OpenAI. Amplitude says it will keep maintaining and developing Statsig, including warehouse deployments.

How much does Statsig cost?+

The Developer plan is free up to 2M metered events a month. Pro is $150 a month with 5M events included, then $0.05 per 1,000 events. Enterprise, which includes warehouse native deployment, is custom. Flag and config checks are unlimited on every plan.

Does Statsig have a visual editor?+

Yes. Its visual editor, also called Sidecar, is a point-and-click tool for changing text, styles and calls to action, injecting scripts and setting up redirects on a live website. Statsig measures the results with the same stats engine it uses for coded experiments.

Can Statsig measure revenue from Stripe?+

Not through a native Stripe connector. You can log purchase events from your code, import metrics from a data warehouse, or use the RevenueCat integration, which sends subscription and revenue events by webhook. Outtest reads revenue from Stripe and other payment tools directly and judges every test on revenue per visitor.

Is Statsig Bayesian or frequentist?+

Both. Frequentist analysis with sequential testing is the default. You can switch to SPRT or to a Bayesian mode that reports chance to beat control and expected loss, and Pro adds CUPED variance reduction.
