How it's priced now

Eppo's own site doesn't list prices. Since the product became Datadog Experiments, Datadog publishes them. You pay per launched experiment per month:

  • $450 billed annually
  • $530 billed month to month
  • $575 on demand

An experiment becomes billable once it has launched, reached at least 500 subjects and collected 3 days of data. Experiments that never reach that point are never billed. Seats, metrics and analyses are unlimited, and each experiment you buy includes 1M monthly flag configuration requests (MFCRs). The page offers a free trial but doesn't state its length.

Datadog Feature Flags are free below 1M MFCRs a month. Above that it's $55 per 1M billed annually, $89 month to month or $100 on demand up to 10M, then $45, $73 or $92 per 1M.

Worked example

A SaaS with 20,000 monthly users that runs 2 experiments a month. These inputs are made up to show the maths.

  • Experiments. 2 x $450 = $900 a month on an annual plan, or 2 x $530 = $1,060 month to month.
  • Flags. The 2 experiments include 2M MFCRs. If the app makes 1.5M flag configuration requests a month, there's nothing extra to pay.

User count barely moves the bill. The number of experiments does. Four tests a month on an annual plan is $1,800, and five is $2,250.

Costs that aren't on the price list

  • Warehouse-native analysis runs SQL against your warehouse, so check what those queries cost on your warehouse plan.
  • Someone has to build and maintain the SQL models for exposures and metrics.
  • The pricing page doesn't say how an experiment that runs across two calendar months is counted, so ask before you sign.
  • Performance guardrails use Datadog RUM, which is priced separately per 1,000 sessions.
  • Engineering time. Variants are built in code or JSON flags, since there's no page editor.

Questions people ask

Was Eppo acquired by Datadog?+

Yes. Datadog announced the acquisition in May 2025 and ran the product as Eppo by Datadog. On April 2, 2026 it launched Datadog Experiments, powered by Eppo, and geteppo.com now says Eppo is Datadog Experiments.

How much does Eppo cost?+

Eppo is now priced as Datadog Experiments at $450 per launched experiment a month billed annually, $530 month to month or $575 on demand. An experiment only counts once it reaches 500 subjects and 3 days of data, and seats are unlimited.

Does Eppo have a visual editor?+

Not a point-and-click page editor. Eppo's docs describe no-code tests through JSON flags that developers set up once, and a Contentful integration lets marketers build experiments on CMS content.

What stats does Eppo use?+

Datadog Experiments supports sequential frequentist, fixed-sample frequentist and Bayesian analysis, with CUPED++ variance reduction and automatic sample ratio mismatch checks.

Can Eppo measure revenue from Stripe?+

Only through your warehouse. There's no payment tool connector, so Stripe data has to land in Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift or Databricks first. Outtest reads revenue from Stripe and other payment tools directly and judges every test on revenue per visitor.
