Kameleoon's plans

Kameleoon publishes one price. PBX Starter starts from $495 a month and lets you build up to 10 experiments and test 50,000 visitors a month in one project. Kameleoon's docs describe Starter as a monthly subscription paid by credit card, with 30, 100 or 200 AI credits a month. Enterprise is custom, priced on monthly unique visitors over the last 12 months, with unlimited experiments and tested traffic.

The free trial

The PBX Starter trial is free for 30 days with no credit card, and you can build up to 3 experiments. If you don't upgrade, your tests and data aren't saved.

What drives the price

• AI credits. Kameleoon lists Starter as "starting from" $495 and offers three credit tiers, but doesn't publish the price of each tier. Each prompt uses one credit, about 3 per experiment on average, and unused credits don't roll over.
• Traffic. Starter covers 50,000 tracked users a month. You get a warning at 90%, and at 100% experiments stop. Unlimited traffic means Enterprise.
• Capabilities. Feature flags, mobile app testing, personalization, the code editor, bandits and CUPED are Enterprise capabilities. Data warehouse connections and AI targeting are premium add-ons.
• Contract. Kameleoon discounts buying experimentation and feature management together, and longer commitments.

A worked example

With made-up inputs, say a DTC brand gets 40,000 visitors a month and wants to run 6 tests a month. At about 3 credits per experiment, that's 18 credits, so the 30-credit tier covers it. At the $495 starting price, the year costs $5,940.

If the brand grows to 70,000 visitors a month and tests all of them, it passes the 50,000 cap and experiments stop, so it needs an Enterprise quote.

Compared with other tools

Convert's Growth plan is $299 a month billed annually for 100,000 tested users. Outtest's Growth plan runs 10 tests a month for $49, and its Pro plan runs 30 for $99.
